My Favourite Podcasts of 2021
During this past year I have become obsessed with listening to podcasts. especially while I cook dinner. Most of the podcasts I listen to are about plant-based food, health and wellness. Maybe you are obsessed with podcasts too or maybe you’d like to start listening but don’t know where to start. In this blog post, I want to share my favourite podcasts!
The Happy Pear Podcast
This podcast is hosted by Irish twins, Dave and Steve Flynn, who I subscribe to and follow religiously. They discuss holistic wellness of mind, body and soul, with their hilarious twin antics! I love their enthusiasm and passion for all of their guests and the topics they discuss.
The Plant Proof Podcast
Simon Hill’s podcast is full of great information. He’s a nutritionist, physiotherapist and author. A few of the episodes might be too scientific or medical for some people but I’m super geeky about this stuff and love listening to all the latest research. Simon always ends his episodes with the awesome statement “More plants my friends, more plants”.
Deliciously Ella
Ella hasn’t posted a new podcast episode since June but if you are just checking her out for the first time, there are 6 seasons for you to listen to. Like the Happy Pear guys and Simon, Ella interviews guests that focus on health and wellness. She also has an app (requires a paid subscription) that I’ve used to plan meals.
The Darin Olien Show
I first learned about Darin from watching ‘Down to Earth’ on Netflix. I bought his book ‘SuperLife: The 5 Simple Fixes That Will Make You Healthy, Fit, and Eternally Awesome’. Darin has a variety of podcast topics that focus on personal health and the health of the planet. In between his longer interviews, he posts smaller ‘Fatal Connivence’ episodes that discuss every day actions that affect our health and the world we live in.
