My Very First Blog Post!

Why I Started This Blog

My family and I follow a predominantly plant-based diet. For those of you who have stumbled upon this blog and have no idea what a plant-based diet is, stay tuned! I will explain more in a later post! To keep it simple for this welcome post, basically we donโ€™t eat any animal products.

I love cooking homemade healthy meals but by Friday night Iโ€™m tired and I just want take-out! Iโ€™m sure many of you know what Iโ€™m talking about!!

If you follow a specific diet or way of eating, you know that eating in a restaurant can be tricky! But we all deserve a night out and a break from cooking sometimes! Am I right?!

During my online menu search I found that some restaurants had many plant-based options and others had very little or nothing at all. My husband said that it would be so helpful to have all this information in one place, especially for busy families like us who donโ€™t want to spend a lot of time checking online menus after a long work week. So this is where the idea for a blog started!

I will be sharing my suggestions on where to go for plant-based meals in the Kitchener-Waterloo area as well as other tidbits and information about plant-based eating. I have read A LOT of books and blogs on plant-based eating but I am not an expert and Iโ€™m constantly listening to podcasts and searching for new people to follow and learn from.
