Phoenix Park, Dublin

When I started this blog, the purpose was to help others find plant-based/vegan options in Waterloo Region, Canada.

Now that we are travelling again and will be in Ireland for the summer, I decided to add an extra section to the blog to showcase some of my plant-based discoveries.

My family all love matcha, so we were happy to find that the first cafe we visited, had matcha lattes on the menu!

Phoenix Cafe has a lot of vegan options from a variety of plant-based milks for your coffee and tea, to sandwiches, soups, salads and even desserts!

Walking in Phoenix Park

Phoenix Park is a great place to go if you live in or are visiting Dublin. It is the largest park in Europe so you can easily visit it several times, on a vacation, and see and do different things each time.

There is a visitor centre, many different gardens, a cafe, a tea room and lots of cycling and walking trails.

On our second visit to the park, we brought a blanket and some books and just relaxed on the grass near Papal Cross. It was a beautiful, sunny day and there were many people out having picnics and playing soccer, or as the Irish call it, football!

We ended up at the park for a 3rd time and thankfully it was another nice, sunny day. We walked around for a bit and then went to the Cafe for some lunch.

Vegan Sandwich from Phoenix Cafe

Vegan Sandwich

We got soup and bread, a vegan sandwich and a falafel plate that came with 3 salads of our choice. Everything was delicious and fresh!

Desserts from Phoenix Cafe

Vegan Desserts

We decided to treat ourselves to some dessert and since there were 3 vegan options we got all 3 and shared them!

Farmleigh Market

Vegan donuts

Once a month, there is a market in Phoenix Park. It is located in the farmyard behind the Farmleigh Gallery. On the day that we went, there weren’t many vendors but we were excited to see De-lish vegan donuts!

Donut flavours

So many vegan flavours!!

I had the caramel one and it was really good!
